I want to welcome you to this web site, the work of a Maine company called Extreme Themes. Hope you have a moment to hang out and browse around. I love to hear from visitors, so if you'd like to send comments, observations, opinions or just plain salutations, you'll find an email link to the left you can use to contact me. I try to answer all of them, even if I'm sometimes several days getting back from some wilderness escapade.
"2010 is a big year for me. There has been the release of a new CD, "Footprints in the Sand," an anthology of my entire song catalog entitled, "The Way I Came" and I've been on tour promoting my new book, "Where Cool Waters Flow" subtitled, "Four Seasons with a Master Maine Guide." If you're here because you're an outdoor enthusiast or because you love to find original music off the beaten path, we already have a lot in common! Thanks, and in touch along the way...

“He’s a versatile fellow, at home equally guiding from the stern of a Grand Laker canoe; on stage singing folk songs of his own creation, tunes that draw on the blue-green landscape and the struggles, joys and wisdom of the people; or in front of a microphone narrating radio and television presentations.” ––Peter Mehegan
Randy Spencer has been performing his own songs in the United States and Canada since 1981. He has guested on CBS Sunday Morning with Charles Osgood, ESPN2’s Back Roads with Ron and Raven, and Boston Channel 5’s acclaimed Chronicle.
In the span of 55 songs, The Way I Came, The Randy Spencer Collection, follows Randy’s songwriting odyssey all the way from his north country chart-topper, Black Flies on his One Road CD, to the 11 original tracks on Randy’s 2009 CD release, Footprints in the Sand.
